Scholarship Awards

The 2010 OMTA Scholarship Awards will be held Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16.  The deadline for applications is April 10.  For more information about the scholarships and to access forms click here.

The Oregon Music Teachers Association provides a number of scholarships to outstanding music students through the OMTA Scholarship Awards. Open to students throughout the state, the OMTA Scholarship Awards give exceptional music students the opportunity to compete for cash prizes.

Unless otherwise stated, audition time for each scholarship is ten minutes. Repertoire requirements are three memorized compositions from three contrasting periods. Students may enter only one scholarship per year and may not enter the same one again if they got first place in that award in the past.

Award amounts vary with cash available in OMTA investment accounts and are subject to change depending on funds available.  A list of the prize amounts for the 2010 OMTA Scholarship Awards will be posted as soon as it is available.
