Corresponding Secretary Alice Lyle is responsible for sending greeting cards and notes on behalf of OMTA Portland. If you (or anyone you know) deserves some praise, sympathy, or encouragement, ask Alice to send out a card. Appropriate occasions include birth and wedding announcements, special awards you or your students have received, health issues (please get permission from the person in question before submitting), and reporting that a member has passed away or has lost a loved one. Please also inform President Joy Novak; who can also share your joys or concerns in the "Sunshine Corner" of the OMTA E-Notes. Both Alice & Joy can be contacted through the OMTA web site.

Focus Group Leaders, please note that Solveig can post detailed information about your focus group topic, time, meeting date, contact information, and location to the web site calendar. This is especially helpful to teachers' outside of your focus group who may be interested in sitting in on your meeting, especially if they find your workshop topic compelling.
